How One Unexpected Sunday Afternoon
Changed Everything
For those who don't know the full story, it didn't begin with a grand romantic gesture or a chance encounter. It started with my dad coming home one Sunday afternoon with a guest while I was in my room.
Without warning, my bedroom door swung open and my dad announced, "Joe wants you to serve him." I remember thinking, Who's Joe? Reluctantly, I made my way to the kitchen, only to realize, "Oh... the guy who plays the bass guitar".
After dishing the food begrudgingly, we sat and talked for hours, with him offering plenty of unsolicited advice.  Well as it turns out, we never really stopped talking.  And somehow, that unexpected Sunday afternoon became the beginning of our story.
